Talent management at HF

At Hermes Fulfilment, we assume that all employees have talents. How can employees develop and use their talents in an even more targeted way? Talent Management provides support with this question.

"To ensure that Hermes Fulfilment continues to be successful, that we can hold our own in the market and achieve our vision, it is crucial that all employees learn new things, continue to develop and contribute their talents to HF and our successful growth course," says Eva Witte, Managing Director of HF. "Mutual feedback, openness to new ideas and transparency are essential here."

In fact, it is a matter of course in all industries today that company employees regularly learn and use new processes, methods and software in order to meet changing customer requirements, among other things. In addition to further developing the skills that are important for the current role, it is exciting and valuable to identify employees' development wishes and potential that are crucial for their development into another position. Targeted support makes it easier to fill vacant positions with internal employees.

Close exchange between employees and managers
Anne Nüsse, Talent Management Project Manager at HF, explains: "In annual feedback meetings, all employees are asked to identify their own skills, strengths and learning areas." Based on this self-assessment and external assessment, employees and managers exchange ideas. "Development wishes are also noted in this discussion," explains Anne. In the subsequent talent conference, the managers discuss how they want to promote the development of their employees across departments and how they can ensure succession planning.
