Kamil Kasprowicz becomes CEO of Baur Hermes Fulfilment

With effect from June 1, 2022, Kamil Christoph Kasprowicz will take over as Chairman of the Management Board of the newly founded Baur Hermes Fulfilment GmbH in Altenkunstadt. He will be succeeded as Group Vice President Supply Chain Management of the Otto Group by Raphael Maier, who has been responsible for Supply Chain Strategy & Innovation since 2021.

Before joining the Otto Group, 37-year-old Kasprowicz, who holds a degree in economics, worked for the management consultancy Roland Berger, in particular for projects in the transportation industry and logistics infrastructure in Germany, other European countries and the Middle East. In 2017, the former competitive swimmer joined the Otto Group as Head of Consulting, and in 2019 he moved to the position of Head of Operations. Since January 2021, Kamil has served as Group Vice President Supply Chain Management. In this role, he was responsible in particular for logistics planning, strategy, innovation and Group services for the Group.

"We are delighted that we have been able to recruit Kamil, an exceptionally dynamic manager with great expertise, for the management of the new company. I would like to thank him for his successful work in supply chain management and wish him every success in his challenging new role," says Kay Schiebur, Otto Group Executive Board Member for Services.

He will be succeeded as Group Vice President Supply Chain Management on June 1 by Raphael Maier from Switzerland, who has been responsible for Supply Chain Strategy & Innovation within the Otto Group since 2021. Previously, the 39-year-old trained farmer and industrial engineer was involved in the development of the Swiss Coop Group's food e-commerce business in various management roles from 2007 to 2012. Between 2013 and 2020, he held various management positions in logistics at Lekkerland in Switzerland and Austria.

Kay Schiebur, Chief Services Officer of the Otto Group: "Raphael Maier is an internationally highly experienced logistics expert. I am delighted that we were able to convince him to move to Hamburg and I wish him all the best and a successful time in his new role at the Otto Group."
