Hermes Fulfilment Ohrdruf honored as an "outstanding training company" by the Federal Employment Agency and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
On 21 March 2023, HF Betrieb Ohrdruf had the great honor of receiving the "Outstanding Training Company" award. Training Manager Martin Schein (center left) and Site Manager Volker Weidemann (center right) were presented with flowers and a certificate by Ms Michel, Chairwoman of the Management Board of the Thuringia Central Federal Employment Agency (far left) and Dr Haase-Lerch, Managing Director of the Erfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (right).
The special award recognizes the company's commitment to above-average vocational training. "After a total of almost 30 years of vocational training here at the site, this is a great award that we are happy to accept and of which we are all proud," says trainer Martin Schein. It is also hoped that this award will attract new applicants who will then be enthusiastic about Hermes Fulfilment as a training company. Martin says: "Our warehouse specialist and warehouse logistics specialist apprenticeships are by no means just 'pallet pushers', but are now also apprenticeships that have a lot to do with technology and digitalization. Filling the daily training routine digitally, equipping our trainees with projects and, as far as possible, giving them an insight into other training facilities and companies is what makes the training so varied and keeps it interesting". For the trainers, this increasingly means dealing with the trainees socially and at eye level, engaging with "Generation Z" and communicating accordingly. New projects are planned for the coming years, new forms of teaching and training to show new generations that warehouse logistics is not boring.
